Chris founded Scheldrup Blades law firm in 2002, instilling his vision of growth and innovation in his practice. He was sitting president of the firm as it grew throughout the Midwest with four offices in three states. Chris is currently co-chair of the firm's workers' compensation practice group.
Chris is licensed to practice law in Iowa and Arizona. Chris has tried cases in state and federal court as well as before many state and federal administrative agencies.

Mr. Scheldrup has been asked to present on workers' compensation, professional negligence and employment law related matters more than 300 times to professional industry groups in Iowa, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Indiana, Arizona and Texas. He has presented to gatherings of occupational and orthopedic doctors, insurance brokers, insurance claims representatives, safety managers, workers' compensation coordinators and attorneys.
Mr. Scheldrup has also lectured on advanced trial tactics and deposition skills to attorney groups, including at the University of Iowa Law School and Drake University Law School.
Chris loves teaching and has been passionate about education his entire life. He has taught professionally at the university and community college level and volunteers whenever possible teaching economic principles to 3rd and 4th graders through Junior Achievement. A father of six children, Chris enjoys activities that involve the interests of his children. He is a college sports enthusiast, following the sports teams of the multiple universities where his children have attended.
Chris loves biking, mostly bikes with pedals, but has recently joined the ranks of those riding bikes with the Harley insignia on the side.
